About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer with a strong background in Node.js, TypeScript, and microservices architecture to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have between 3 to 12 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems.

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers, to deliver robust and efficient solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing backend services, APIs, and microservices, primarily hosted on AWS cloud infrastructure. They will play a key role in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our applications, contributing to the company's mission of delivering innovative technology solutions to our clients.

Qualifications

- Proven experience of 3 to 12 years in backend development, specifically with Node.js and related technologies.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, NestJS, and Express.js frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, REST API development, and event-driven systems.




- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including working with data marts, data warehouses, and cloud services.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
- Knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and MongoDB, along with data warehousing solutions.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, SQS, and Redis.
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git, and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Familiarity with frontend integration, particularly with React.js, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices using Node.js and related frameworks.
- Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality with React.js applications.
- Develop and manage cloud-based applications and services on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, S3, RDS, and data warehousing solutions.
- Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker, and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes or EKS.
- Implement event-driven architectures using messaging technologies such as Kafka, SQS, and Redis to facilitate real-time data processing.




- Optimize database performance, schema design, and query efficiency to support high-volume transactions.
- Participate in system design, code reviews, and deployment planning to ensure high quality and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact on end-users.
- Manage development tasks and track progress using JIRA or similar project management tools.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate best practices into development workflows to enhance system performance and security.
