ABOUT ROLE: Linux and Windows administrator

We are seeking a skilled Linux and Windows administrator to manage and maintain Linux-based and Windows environments. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, practical knowledge of Linux server administration, and a proactive mindset to ensure system stability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or other distributions).

Monitor system performance, availability, and security.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.

Perform routine system backups and disaster recovery planning.

Apply patches, updates, and perform system upgrades.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues.





Manage and configure services such as Apache/Nginx, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, and mail servers.

Ensure security best practices, including firewall configuration and vulnerability management.

Automate routine tasks using shell scripting or other automation tools.

Collaborate with development, DevOps, and IT teams for smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).

Linux system administration experience.

Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).

Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python, or Perl preferred).

Knowledge of system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, or similar).

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V).

Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls).

Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Good to Have (Optional)

Experience with cloud platforms.

Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).

Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
