: Network Administrator (L2)
Level: L2 Administrator / Senior Analyst
About the Role The Network Administrator will be part of a 24x7 Infrastructure Operations team responsible for the administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise network environments. The role focuses on ensuring network availability, performance, security, and compliance with service-level agreements. The administrator will support LAN, WAN, Data Center, and Campus networking infrastructure while collaborating with internal teams and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage enterprise network infrastructure in a 24x7 environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, service requests, and escalations within SLA.
- Administer and support routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain VLANs, routing, switching, and network security policies.
- Perform network health checks, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Implement approved network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Participate in incident, problem and change management processes.
- Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
- Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities related to network infrastructure.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Experience
- 4 to 7 years of experience in Network Administration and Operations Support.

Networking
- Strong understanding of:
- TCP/IP
- OSI Model
- Routing & Switching
- VLANs
- STP/RSTP/MSTP
- OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
- DHCP, DNS, NAT
- High Availability Technologies (HSRP, VRRP)
Network Security
- Basic administration and troubleshooting of:
- Firewalls
- Access Control Lists (ACLs)
- VPN Technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
- Network Security Best Practices
Wireless Technologies
- Experience supporting:
- Enterprise Wireless LAN
- Access Points
- Wireless Controllers
Monitoring & Management Tools
- Knowledge of:
- SolarWinds
- PRTG
- Nagios
- ServiceNow
- Network Performance Monitoring Tools
Vendor Technologies
- Hands-on experience with one or more of:
- Cisco Routers & Switches
- Aruba Switching & Wireless
- HPE Networking
- Juniper Networks
Operational Responsibilities
- Analyze network alerts and proactively resolve issues.
- Perform firmware upgrades and patch management activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring network issues.
- Implement and validate network changes with rollback planning.
- Ensure CMDB and asset information remain updated.
- Prepare and maintain operational and performance reports.
Desired Skills
- CCNA / CCNP certification preferred.
- Aruba Certified Associate or equivalent certification.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies.
- Exposure to Cloud Networking (Azure/AWS) is an added advantage.
