Core Technical Skills

Java

- Core Java (collections, multithreading, exception handling)
- Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- JDBC / Snowflake JDBC connector
- Spark SQL
- Unit testing (JUnit, Mockito)

Domain / Data Engineering Skills
- ETL/ELT pipelines — ingestion, transformation, loading patterns
- BOM explosion logic — multi-level BOM traversal, parent-child hierarchies
- Supply chain concepts —
- EPS (Early Planning Signal), PSA, UDS, demand forecasting, supplier networks
- Data quality — error flagging, validation rules, reconciliation
- Scheduling/orchestration —
- Snowflake Tasks, Airflow, or Control-M

AWS
- S3 (data lake storage, staging files)
- Lambda / Step Functions (orchestration)
- IAM (roles, policies, cross-account access)
- CloudWatch (monitoring, alerting)
- Athena




- AWS Glue or similar ETL tools

Snowflake
- SQL (advanced) — stored procedures, JavaScript UDFs, window functions, CTEs
- Data warehousing concepts — star/snowflake schema, slowly changing dimensions
- Snowflake objects — stages, streams, tasks, dynamic tables, views
- Performance tuning — clustering keys, query profiling, warehouse sizing

Supporting Skills
- Git — version control, branching strategies
- CI/CD —
- Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Linux/Shell scripting — basic automation
- Agile/Scrum — sprint planning, story estimation
- Monitoring —
- Snowflake query history, AWS CloudWatch, logging frameworks (Log4j/SLF4J)
