Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimation / Costing Engineer – Mechanical to handle end-to-end cost estimation and quotation preparation for plant and equipment projects. The role requires strong technical understanding, cross-functional coordination, and accuracy in cost analysis to support business proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare end-to-end techno-commercial quotations for plant & equipment projects.
2. Ensure accuracy in cost estimation and deliver error-free quotations within timelines.
3. Analyze flow diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering inputs for cost evaluation.
4. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve optimized project costing.
5. Identify and select optimal offerings from global manufacturing hubs.
6. Perform detailed costing for third-party supplies such as steel hoppers, ducting, structural supports, etc.
7. Work closely with Supply Chain Management to estimate costs of bought-out materials.

Coordinate with the Automation team for electrical materials and service cost estimation.
9. Incorporate applicable taxes, duties, logistics, and country-specific cost factors into estimates.
10. Support proposal optimization by balancing cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
11. Any additional qualification in Estimations and Autocad Layout drawings would be an

added advantage.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
2. 5-6 years of experience in vendor development, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering company.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in estimation/costing within a similar industry.
- Strong experience in detailed cost estimation for large-scale projects.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international commercial practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs;, and flow diagrams.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools.
