Role Description The Mechanical Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City. This position oversees end-to-end mechanical project delivery, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control for process plants and machinery installations. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with design, production, and installation teams, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
The role involves managing procurement activities, tracking budgets, and monitoring progress to meet project timelines and client expectations.
The Mechanical Project
Manager also conducts site reviews, resolves technical and operational issues, communicates regularly with clients and internal stakeholders, and prepares project reports and documentation.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering skills, including understanding of mechanical systems, industrial machinery, and manufacturing processes.
- Candidates should possess experience in for industrial projects, including coordination with civil ,process and electrical teams.
- Candidates should possess skills in Procurement and Budgeting, with the ability to manage vendor relationships, optimize costs, and track project financials and support site team.
- Candidates should possess project management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and documentation.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, use of project management and engineering software, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams on-site.
- Prior experience in industrial plant, machinery installation, or related engineering projects is highly beneficial.
