1. About TAARKTAARK Electric Vehicles & Equipments Pvt Ltd designs and manufactures electric vehicles for industrial material transportation and commercial last-mile applications. Our vehicles work in brick industries, textile mills, cement plants, agro industries, poultry farms, educational institutions, hospitals and commercial fleets.

Our range covers industrial electric load carriers, brick transportation EVs, L5 commercial electric vehicles, electric tippers, electric forklifts, material handling solutions and customised application vehicles.

We are an engineering-first company. We do not compete on price. We compete on reliability, application engineering and after-sales support, for customers who measure return on investment in tonnes moved per rupee spent.

2. Why this role existsOur products work and our customers repeat-order. Manufacturing is now the constraint.

We need one person to own the entire plant — planning, production, supply chain, quality and dispatch — and to build the systems that let us raise output without losing the reliability our customers buy us for.

This is not a caretaker role. Much of what you need does not exist yet. You will build it. You will report directly to the Founder and carry full operating authority over the plant. There is no layer between you and the decision.

3. Scope of the rolePart A - Direct ownershipYou own these functions and you own the outcome.

3.1 Production Planning & Control• Own the monthly and weekly production plan; publish it and hold the plant to it.

- Maintain a rolling 90-day capacity plan against the sales order book.
- Run a daily production meeting with a written agenda and closed action points.
- Own on-time delivery as a measured number, reported weekly to the Founder.
- Establish routing, cycle times and standard man-hours for every model.

3.2 Manufacturing & Shop Floor• Own output, quality and safety across fabrication, assembly, wiring, painting and testing.

- Implement and sustain 5S across all work centres, audited monthly with scores.
- Drive Kaizen against a target number of improvements implemented per quarter — implemented, not suggested.
- Balance line loading and reduce work-in-progress.
- Own plant safety: PPE compliance, machine guarding, incident reporting and corrective action.
- Maintain machine and equipment uptime through preventive maintenance schedules.

3.3 Supply Chain & Vendor Development• Own procurement of fabricated, machined, bought-out and electrical items.

- Develop and qualify vendors; move every critical part from single source to dual source.
- Negotiate on total cost — price, payment terms,

lead time and rejection rate — not price alone.
- Control inventory: set and hold reorder levels, minimum-maximum stock and inventory days.
- Run vendor rating on quality, delivery and responsiveness, reviewed quarterly with the vendor present.
- Eliminate line stoppages caused by material shortage.

3.4 Quality Systems• Own the ISO 9001:2015 /IATF quality management system: documentation, internal audits, management review, certification and surveillance audits.

- Write and enforce SOPs and work instructions for every major assembly.
- Establish incoming, in-process and final inspection with recorded data.
- Own product traceability — batch and serial records linking each vehicle to its battery, motor, controller and critical bought-out parts.
- Lead root cause analysis on every field failure and customer complaint; implement corrective and preventive action, and verify six months later that it held.
- Own rejection and rework cost as a measured number.

3.5 Dispatch & Logistics• Ensure every vehicle leaves the plant fully tested, documented and complete.

- Own pre-dispatch inspection and sign-off.
- Manage dispatch documentation, transporter selection and delivery commitments to customer and dealer.
- Coordinate with the service team on installation, commissioning and warranty support.

Part B -Review and oversightYou do not own these functions. You review their interface with manufacturing, raise issues early, and escalate to the Founder where they threaten output, cost or quality.

- Sales & Marketing - Order pipeline against the production plan, delivery commitments made to customers, and complaints entering the plant.
- Accounts - Material cost, inventory valuation, and vendor payment cycles where they affect supply continuity.
- Recent Product Development - Design for manufacturability, prototype-to-production transfer, and engineering change control.

Part C- People and second line• Build the plant organisation: supervisors, planners, quality inspectors and stores.

- Establish a skill matrix and a training plan for operators and technicians.
- Set and hold daily and weekly performance review discipline.

- Identify and develop your own successor. This is a stated objective of the role and it will be reviewed,

not an afterthought.

- Who we are looking forEssential• 10–16 years in discrete manufacturing — fabrication and assembly. Automotive, EV, industrial equipment, material handling, machine building or capital goods.

- At least 3 years with full ownership of a plant or a major manufacturing function.
- A demonstrated record of building systems where none existed — SOPs written, QMS implemented, planning discipline established. We will ask for specifics.
- Working command of ISO 9001:2015. Internal auditor or Management Representative experience preferred.
- Practical command of lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis and preventive action — applied on a floor, not attended in a classroom.
- Vendor development experience across a base of 50 or more suppliers.
- Able to read engineering drawings and hold a technical conversation with design, vendors and customers.
- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial or Automobile Engineering. Exceptional diploma holders with a strong track record will be considered.
- Fluent in Tamil and English.
- Willing to work on-site in Coimbatore, full time.

Preferred• Low-volume, high-mix vehicle or machine build - chassis, wiring harness, hydraulics, sub-assembly.

- Exposure to EV systems: battery packs, motor controllers, traction motors, BMS.
- Experience carrying a plant through a step change in output.
- ERP implementation or migration experience.

4. What this role is not• This is not an established system to maintain. You will build the system.

- This is not a large plant with deep functional teams. You will be on the floor, daily.
- This is not a role where you wait for headcount before delivering. Build with what exists, then earn the addition.
- We do not match large-OEM compensation. What we offer instead is complete authority, a direct line to the Founder, and ownership of an outcome that stays yours.

5. What we offer• Complete operating authority over the plant, reporting directly to the Founder & Director.

- Fixed CTC of ₹10–14 LPA based on experience and demonstrated track record, plus a performance-linked variable against the Key Result Areas.
- A written 90-day mandate and a quarterly review, so you always know where you stand.
- The chance to build the manufacturing backbone of a company intent on becoming one of India’s most respected industrial electric mobility manufacturers.
