Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic relationships with contract manufacturers, managing quotes, NPI (Current Product Introduction), ramp-up schedules, yield optimization, and batch delivery
- Evaluate Bill of Materials (BOMs), identify second-source components to mitigate supply chain risks, and resolve component obsolescence (EOL) issues
- Leverage existing network of chipmakers, authorized distributors, and local/global component vendors to secure competitive pricing, lead times, and allocation access
- Negotiate unit costs,
MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity), and payment terms while maintaining optimal buffer inventory
- Collaborate closely with internal hardware engineering teams to evaluate technical datasheets and alternative components without compromising product performance
Ideal Candidate
- 5 - 8 years in electronics sourcing, technical procurement, or supply chain within the EMS/hardware manufacturing domain
- Strong understanding of active/passive components, microcontrollers, power management ICs, PCBs, and SMT manufacturing processes
- Established relationships with key component distributors (e.g., Arrow, Avnet, Mouser, Future Electronics) and regional EMS providers
- Advanced BOM analysis skills, cost modeling, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field
