Manager Design Engineer (Civil & Structural) – Metal, Minerals & Heavy Industry (MMH)

Location: Kolkata

Experience: 5-10 Years in Metal Mineral, Material Handling industry

Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering

Role Purpose To lead the design and engineering of civil and structural systems for metal, mineral beneficiation, steel plant, and heavy industrial projects. The role involves structural analysis, design development, multidisciplinary coordination, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural analysis and design of industrial facilities, including steel plants, mineral processing plants, beneficiation units, and associated infrastructure.
- Develop detailed designs and engineering calculations for RCC structures, steel structures, foundations, equipment supports, pipe racks, and industrial buildings.
- Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, design reports, and construction drawings in compliance with relevant national and international codes.
- Review and validate 3D models, plant layouts, structural models, and interdisciplinary interfaces to ensure constructability and design optimization.
- Coordinate with process,



mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and project teams to resolve engineering issues and ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure adherence to applicable design codes, safety standards, quality requirements, and client specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, value engineering exercises, and management of design deliverables.
- Support project execution teams by providing technical clarifications and resolving site-related engineering queries when required.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of RCC and steel structure design for industrial projects.
