Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manager / Assistant Manager – Quality to lead and manage quality assurance and quality control activities across the manufacturing process.

The role will be responsible for ensuring Incoming, In-Process and Final Quality, effective implementation of ISO 9001:2015 QMS, customer complaint resolution, supplier quality improvement, corrective and preventive actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in heavy fabrication, trailer manufacturing, automotive, or engineering manufacturing, with good knowledge of quality tools and hands-on problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities.
- Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
- Control and monitor Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection activities.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and inspection criteria.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure timely Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action.
- Lead NCR, CAPA, 8D and problem-solving activities.
- Monitor rejection, rework, defects, and quality performance and implement improvement actions.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and coordinate supplier corrective actions and development.
- Ensure inspection reports, quality records, and documentation are properly maintained.




- Ensure calibration of measuring and testing instruments.
- Plan and conduct Internal Quality Audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Coordinate customer, external, and certification audits.
- Review and maintain PFMEA, Control Plan, SOPs, Work Instructions, Inspection Standards and Quality Procedures.
- Support new product and project quality planning activities.
- Monitor Quality KPIs and prepare monthly Quality MIS reports.
- Train, guide, and develop Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Purchase, Design & Development, Stores and Dispatch for quality-related issues.
- Drive Kaizen, 5S, defect prevention, rejection reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with customer, statutory, regulatory, and organizational quality requirements.

Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or equivalent.
- MBA in Operations will be an added advantage.

Experience




- 10–13 years of relevant experience in Quality Management.
- Experience in heavy fabrication, trailer manufacturing, automotive, chassis, welding/fabrication, or engineering manufacturing will be preferred.
- Candidates should have hands-on experience in managing Quality processes and leading a Quality team.

- AAIG Core Tools – PPAP, MSA, SPC
- ISO 9001:2015 Awareness / Internal Auditor
- IATF 16949:2016 Awareness
- NDT Level II – VT & LPT
