Job Position: Mainframe Storage Engineer Location: Mumbai/Chennai Experience: 5+ to 10+ Years Mandatory Skills:

- IBM-Storage, Mainframe - IMSDB, Mainframe DB2, REXX, Z/OS Key Responsibilities • Manage and support enterprise Mainframe Storage environments in 24×7 production operations.
- Perform storage implementation, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Support z/OS I/O architecture, including CHPIDs, control units, paths, FICON, and multipathing.
- Analyze and troubleshoot I/O performance using RMF, SMF, and DCOLLECT.
- Work closely with z/OS Systems Programmers and infrastructure teams.
- Support multi-datacenter, multi-region, and global production environments.
- Participate in technical projects with minimal supervision and provide technical guidance to junior team members.




- Perform technical reviews and assist with complex storage-related problem resolution.

Required Skills • 5+ to 10+ years of hands-on Mainframe Storage experience.

- IBM Storage • z/OS • REXX • Mainframe DB2 • Mainframe IMS/DB • FICON & Multipathing • RMF, SMF, DCOLLECT • DFSMS / DFHSM • ICF Catalogs • CA1 • IBM Utilities / Exits • Strong understanding of Mainframe I/O architecture and performance diagnostics.
- Experience in 24×7 mission-critical and highly regulated production environments. Valuable to Have • Assembler knowledge • SME/team leadership experience • Experience with storage-related exits and modifications • Strong troubleshooting, communication, mentoring, and technical documentation skills.
