Project Overview The Senior Legal SME will lead legal domain discussions for the Legal SQLDBM Conceptual Data Model program and act as the primary interface between client SMEs, Legal Operations stakeholders, and the Infosys IL team to ensure accurate translation of business requirements into a scalable legal conceptual data model.

Location: India (Remote/Hybrid)

(JL4): Legal SME (JL4) - 5+ Years Experience

Experience: Minimum 5 years in Legal Operations / Legal Domain

Relevant Domain Experience: Minimum 3 years in one or more of the specified legal functions

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and document detailed legal process workflows and business processes.
- Participate in workshops with client SMEs to understand and validate current-state processes.
- Gather, analyze, and document legal business requirements.
- Collaborate with the Technical team to translate legal business requirements into conceptual data entities, attributes, and relationships.
- Support data model validation sessions and ensure alignment with legal operations.




- Review and validate deliverables including process maps, business requirements, and conceptual data models.
- Provide domain expertise and recommendations to ensure data model accuracy and completeness.

Required Legal Domain Expertise Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Legal Function Management
- Outside Counsel Management
- Trademark Management
- Patent Management
- Legal Operations
- Anti-Counterfeiting
- Corporate Security
- Matter Management
- Investigations

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of legal operations and legal processes.
- Experience in process documentation and requirements gathering.
- Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops.
- Familiarity with data governance, conceptual data models, or legal technology platforms is preferred.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

JD 2: Senior Legal SME (JL5) - 6+ Years Experience Role: Senior Legal Subject Matter Expert (JL5)

Experience: Minimum 6 years in Legal Operations / Legal Domain

Relevant Domain Experience: Minimum 3 years in one or more of the specified legal functions

Key Responsibilities

- Lead workshops and discovery sessions with client legal stakeholders and SMEs.
- Drive the creation and validation of end-to-end legal process documentation.
- Analyze complex legal business processes and data requirements.




- Provide domain leadership for conceptual data model design and validation.
- Partner closely with the Tech team to define business entities, relationships, hierarchies, and data governance requirements.
- Review and approve process documentation and data modeling artifacts.
- Identify standardization opportunities across legal functions.
- Provide risk mitigation recommendations and ensure alignment with client expectations.

Required Legal Domain Expertise Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains:

- Legal Function Management
- Outside Counsel Management
- Trademark Management
- Patent Management
- Legal Operations
- Anti-Counterfeiting
- Corporate Security
- Matter Management

Required Skills

- Strong expertise in legal operations, legal processes, and governance frameworks.
- Proven experience conducting stakeholder workshops and business process assessments.
- Experience translating business requirements into data models, operating models, or technology solutions.
- Solid analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to engage confidently with senior client stakeholders.
- Experience in legal transformation, process optimization, and data governance initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with legal technology platforms, CLM, IP Management, ELM, or Matter Management solutions.
- Prior involvement in enterprise data modeling or master data management initiatives.

Experience working in global legal organizations within Life Sciences, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceuticals, or Technology sectors
