POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor to manage and drive the legal function across group entities, handling corporate law, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, commercial litigation, contract drafting, and regulatory compliance. The role involves representing and coordinating the organisation's interests before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums, and working closely with management on legal risk, disputes, and documentation across multiple business verticals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Independently handle corporate law matters, commercial litigation, and insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings (including CIRP under the IBC, 2016) on behalf of the organisation and its group entities.

- Briefing Senior Counsels/Law firm of the cases.

- Draft, vet, and review a wide range of legal instruments — agreements, deeds (sale, lease, gift, amendment), board resolutions, powers of attorney, notices, replies, and tender/bid documentation.

- Handle recovery and default matters, including drafting and issuing legal notices, cheque-bounce proceedings, and follow-up recovery action against defaulting parties.

- Manage tender-related legal work, including eligibility documentation, disqualification disputes, EMD/bid-related grievances, and correspondence with GeM and government procurement bodies.

- Handle correspondence and filings with regulatory and government authorities, including RTI applications/appeals, RBI Ombudsman complaints, and similar statutory processes.

- Maintain and update the group's legal matter tracker,



ensuring accurate status reporting, deadline management, and documentation across all active matters.

- Coordinate with external counsel/advocates across forums, briefing them and reviewing their drafts, submissions, and case strategy.

- Advise management on legal risk, compliance requirements, and dispute-avoidance strategies in day-to-day business operations.

- Handle company secretarial and allied compliance matters as required, including board resolutions for banking/regulatory KYC and onboarding processes.

- Able to read title documents such as 7/12 extracts, 8A Extracts, Mutation Entries and mortgage deeds/laws. Coordinate with the bank for any queries related to the property owned by the company and management.

- Protect and enforce the group's intellectual property and brand interests, including addressing trademark infringement and third-party misrepresentation issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- LL.B. / B.A.LL.B. from a recognised university; enrolled with the Bar Council of India / a State Bar Council.

- 3–6+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, insolvency and bankruptcy, and commercial litigation.

- Demonstrated experience appearing before or briefing counsel for the NCLT, NCLAT, DRT, High Court, and/or Supreme Court.

- Additional certification/diploma in a specialised area of law (e.g., labour and industrial laws, IBC/insolvency) will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
