Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Lead Engineer with strong expertise in Electrical Design and Detailed Engineering for industrial and chemical projects. The candidate will lead electrical engineering activities, manage a team of engineers/designers, coordinate with clients and other disciplines, and ensure timely delivery of project engineering deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead a team of Electrical Engineers and Designers for project electrical activities.
- Handle complete electrical engineering activities for assigned projects.
- Prepare and review Basis of Design, Load Lists, SLDs, Layouts and MTOs.
- Perform/review electrical design calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Design/review power distribution systems from 33kV/22kV to 11kV, 6.6kV, 3.3kV and 415V.
- Carry out/review Transformer, DG, UPS and Battery Charger sizing.
- Perform/review Cable Sizing and Cable Schedule.
- Prepare/review electrical equipment specifications, datasheets and package engineering documents.
- Review equipment layouts in accordance with NBC, CEIG, Electricity Rules and applicable national/international standards.
- Review electrical design drawings, calculations and 3D models.




- Conduct interdisciplinary coordination with Projects, Piping, Mechanical, Civil, Architecture, Vendors and Clients.
- Review vendor documents, requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
- Review tender documents and MTOs.
- Review ETAP studies including Load Flow, Short Circuit, Arc Flash and Harmonics.
- Support resolution of technical queries and site issues.
- Participate in client-facing and critical project meetings.
- Monitor project schedule and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
- Mentor and develop team members.
- Ensure compliance with departmental work instructions and QMS requirements.

Required Skills
- Strong Electrical Design & Detail Engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of Indian and International Electrical Codes & Standards.
- ETAP – Load Flow, Short Circuit, Arc Flash and Harmonics.
- Navisworks / 3D Model Review – Mandatory.
- Knowledge of IS / IEC / NBC standards.
- Strong interdisciplinary and client coordination skills.
- Team leadership and mentoring skills.
- Positive written and verbal English communication.
- EHV Design knowledge will be an added advantage.

Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of total experience in Electrical Design.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Lead Electrical Engineer.
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with First Class.
- Experience in Industrial / Chemical projects is preferred.
- Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in Electrical Detail Engineering and team leadership.
