Role Description The Lead Data Engineer is a full-time, in office role based in Bengaluru, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. This role involves leading data engineering initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, and implementing robust data models to support analytics and business intelligence.

Engineer will oversee ETL processes, optimize data warehousing solutions, and ensure data quality, reliability, and security across systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring team members, reviewing technical designs, troubleshooting data-related issues,



and continuously improving data engineering best practices and standards.

Qualifications

- Strong data engineering skills, including experience with scalable data pipelines, distributed processing, and data integration tools.
- Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing, with the ability to design efficient, reliable, and maintainable data structures.
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and frameworks, ensuring high-quality and timely data movement.
- Applied knowledge of data analytics, including working with analytics teams to enable reporting, dashboarding, and advanced insights.
- Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, or Scala, and familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g., Spark, Kafka, cloud data services).
- Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related data services, along with strong understanding of data security and governance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate effectively with product, analytics, and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
