The Lab Collection Boy is responsible for collecting, handling, transporting, and delivering laboratory samples safely and on time between clinic branches, patients’ homes, and diagnostic labs. The role also includes assisting with patient coordination, maintaining sample integrity, and ensuring proper documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect blood, urine, stool, and other laboratory samples from clinic branches or patient homes
- Ensure safe transportation of samples to the central lab within the required time
- Maintain proper temperature and storage conditions during sample transport
- Verify patient details, test requisition forms, and sample labels before dispatch
- Coordinate with lab technicians regarding urgent or repeat samples
- Deliver lab reports, consumables, or medicines between branches if required
- Assist front office or nursing staff with sample-related coordination
- Maintain collection logs, dispatch registers, and acknowledgment records
- Follow infection control and biomedical waste handling protocols
- Ensure confidentiality of patient reports and sample details
- Support housekeeping of sample collection and storage area when needed

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 10th / 12th pass




- Basic understanding of clinic or laboratory workflow preferred
- Valid two-wheeler license preferred
- Familiarity with local routes in Kochi and nearby areas
- Ability to read patient names, test forms, and branch details
- Basic Malayalam communication skills; English is an added advantage
