Role & responsibilities The selected candidate will assist in routine laboratory activities under the supervision of the designated laboratory personnel. The responsibilities will include:
1. Preparation of laboratory reagents and buffers, including weighing, dilution, labeling, storage, and maintaining appropriate records.
2. Cytological smear preparation, including preparation, fixation, staining, and handling of cytology specimens as per established laboratory procedures.
3. Microbiological culture-related activities, including culture preparation, maintenance, sub-culturing, and routine handling of microbial cultures under appropriate biosafety and laboratory conditions.
4. Assist in microbiological and laboratory-based experimental procedures as assigned by the supervisor.
5. Perform routine laboratory activities,
including cleaning and organization of work areas, preparation of materials, and maintenance of laboratory consumables.
6. Assist in sample and reagent handling, labeling, documentation, and record maintenance.
7. Follow established SOPs, biosafety practices, quality-control procedures, and laboratory safety guidelines.
8. Assist laboratory staff in the operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
9. Maintain proper laboratory records, inventory, and documentation related to assigned activities.
10. Undertake any other laboratory-related duties assigned by the Principal Investigator/Project Supervisor.
