Position: Junior Quantity Surveyor

Experience: 2+ Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Industry: Infrastructure / Civil / Mining / Excavation / Roads

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Project / Head Office-Ulwe Navi Mumbai

Reporting To: Planning Manager / Project Manager / Director

Key Responsibilities

1. Tendering & Estimation

* Study tender documents, BOQ, drawings, specifications and scope of work.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and detailed estimates from drawings and BOQs.
- Assist in preparation of tender quotations and commercial proposals.
- Collect and analyze material, labour, equipment and subcontractor rates.
- Prepare rate analysis for civil, excavation, earthwork and infrastructure activities.
- Prepare comparative statements for quotations received from vendors/subcontractors.
- Assist in identifying scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions and commercial risks in tenders.
- Support the senior team in preparing technical and commercial tender submissions.

1. Costing & Budgeting

* Prepare project cost estimates, budgets and activity-wise costing.
- Monitor actual project costs against approved budgets.
- Track material, labour, machinery and subcontractor costs.
- Prepare cost comparison and variance reports.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and controlling project expenditure.
- Maintain records of project BOQ, quantities, rates and costs.

1. Quantity Surveying & Billing

* Prepare client RA Bills / Running Account Bills based on actual site measurements.
- Prepare subcontractor/vendor bills and verify quantities.




- Take and verify measurements from site records, drawings and survey data.
- Prepare Measurement Sheets, Abstract Sheets and BOQ reconciliation.
- Track executed quantities against BOQ quantities.
- Prepare extra items, variation statements and deviation statements.
- Coordinate with the site team for measurement verification and supporting documents.
- Assist in preparation of final bills and quantity reconciliation.

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

* Prepare and update project schedules and work programmes.
- Develop activity-wise planning for excavation, earthwork, roadwork and infrastructure activities.
- Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline schedule.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Track planned vs. actual quantities and identify delays.
- Prepare look-ahead plans and coordinate with project/site teams for execution targets.
- Monitor manpower, machinery and material requirements against planned activities.
- Assist in preparation of recovery plans and revised schedules where required.
- Coordinate with site engineers to collect accurate progress data.

1. MIS & Reporting

* Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and weekly/monthly MIS.
- Prepare planned vs. achieved quantity reports.
- Prepare productivity reports for excavation,



loading, transportation and other activities.
- Track equipment utilization and production quantities.
- Prepare management reports highlighting progress, cost, billing and schedule status.
- Maintain proper records and databases for project planning and costing.

Software Skills

- MS Excel – Advanced
- MS Word & PowerPoint
- AutoCAD – Basic/Working Knowledge
- MS Project / Primavera P6 – preferred
- Knowledge of quantity surveying / estimation software will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 2+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Planning, Estimation, Billing or Project Controls.
- Candidates with experience in infrastructure, excavation, mining, roadwork or large civil projects will be preferred.
- Should be comfortable working with site teams, vendors, subcontractors and clients.
- Solid analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Should be capable of working independently and meeting tender, billing and reporting deadlines.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
