Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior WordPress Developer based in Bengaluru.

The Junior

WordPress Developer will assist in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites, themes, and plugins under the guidance of senior developers. Daily tasks include implementing page layouts, updating content, configuring plugins, optimizing site performance, and ensuring responsive, cross-browser compatible designs. The role also involves collaborating with designers and marketers, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting website launches and updates. The developer will be expected to follow best practices in code quality,



security, and documentation while learning and growing within a fast-paced creative-tech environment.

Qualifications

- Foundational front-end skills, including HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript, with an understanding of responsive web design.
- Hands-on experience with WordPress installation, configuration, and customization of themes and plugins.
- Familiarity with PHP basics and WordPress template hierarchy, or strong willingness to learn backend concepts.
- Comfort using tools such as Git, browser developer tools, and popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, Gutenberg).
- Basic knowledge of SEO best practices, website performance optimization, and web accessibility principles.
- Robust problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured development processes.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional design, product, and marketing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior internship, freelance projects, or a portfolio showcasing WordPress or front-end work is highly beneficial.
