Location: Lao PDR / Remote

DataLEADS is urgently seeking two Lao-speaking Analysts for a project-based engagement with our media monitoring and research team.

The role will involve monitoring and analysing online conversations, social media content, public narratives and emerging issues in Lao PDR. The analysts will work remotely with DataLEADS' research and social listening teams on an international digital media monitoring project.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Monitor Lao-language content across social media platforms
- Identify key conversations, trends, narratives and emerging issues
- Review and categorise social media posts and discussions
- Help interpret sentiment and context in Lao-language content
- Track news and current affairs relevant to Lao PDR
- Support preparation of social media monitoring reports
- Provide local and cultural context to the wider research team

Requirements:

- Fluent in Lao , including reading and writing

- Working knowledge of English
- Interest in social media, news and current affairs
- Comfortable using platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X
- Good research and communication skills

- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Fresh graduates and early-career candidates are welcome to apply




- Experience in journalism, research, communications, fact-checking or social media is an advantage, but not mandatory

Familiarity with other languages or regional varieties spoken in Lao PDR, including Phu Thai, Tai Dam, Tai Daeng or other local languages, will be an advantage.

Engagement:

This is a project-based remote engagement

. The exact duration and level of engagement will be discussed with shortlisted candidates based on project requirements.

The remuneration offered is as per industry standards.
