Role & responsibilities

- Develop and design comprehensive Epicor ERP solutions that address customer business requirements and ensure compatibility with existing business processes, systems, and technology environments.
- Lead customer discovery and solution-design workshops to understand business objectives, processes, pain points, requirements, and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders and cross-functional teams to determine functional, technical, integration, reporting, data, and security requirements.
- Define the overall Epicor solution architecture and establish how different functional areas will operate together as an end-to-end enterprise solution.
- Translate customer business requirements into appropriate Epicor functionality and solution designs while minimizing unnecessary customization.
- Identify functional gaps and determine appropriate solutions through standard Epicor functionality, configuration, workflows, integrations, extensions, or approved customizations.
- Provide solution guidance across Epicor functional areas including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Projects, Service Management, and other applicable modules.
- Conduct and lead solution workshops, design reviews, demonstrations, and architecture discussions with customers and implementation teams.
- Ensure correct functional solutions are developed for end-to-end Epicor business processes, including integration points with third-party applications.
- Define and review the integration architecture between Epicor and external applications, platforms, customer systems, and other enterprise technologies.
- Provide architectural oversight for data migration, reporting, workflows, security, integrations, and other cross-functional solution components.
- Oversee the Epicor ERP implementation lifecycle, providing solution expertise and maintaining clear communication with customers and implementation teams throughout the project.
- Ensure that proposed solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, supportable,



and aligned with Epicor and implementation best practices.
- Review solution designs prepared by functional and technical consultants and ensure consistency with the overall solution architecture.
- Provide functional and technical direction to implementation teams when complex or cross-functional solution decisions are required.
- Identify solution risks, gaps, dependencies, and design conflicts early in the implementation lifecycle and work with relevant teams to establish appropriate mitigation actions.
- Work closely with Project Managers to identify and minimize solution and implementation risks.
- Support project estimation, solution scoping, implementation planning, and resource planning by providing architectural and functional input.
- Support sales and pre-sales activities where Solution Architect involvement is required, including customer discovery, solution positioning, demonstrations, workshops, proposal development, solution scoping, and technical responses.
- Articulate Epicor product capabilities, solution direction, and potential business value to customers.
- Work closely with senior solution and delivery leadership to ensure established architecture standards, implementation best practices, and delivery protocols are followed.
- Act as an escalation point for significant solution-design issues and provide guidance to functional and technical consultants.
- Maintain appropriate solution architecture and design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the customer and project team during testing, cutover, deployment,



and Go-Live preparation to ensure the implemented solution aligns with the approved solution design.
- Support successful transition to production and ensure architectural and solution-related issues are appropriately addressed during Go-Live and stabilization.
- Maintain current knowledge of Epicor capabilities, product developments, implementation practices, and relevant technologies.

Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field; advanced certifications or degrees are an advantage.

Minimum 6 years of progressive ERP implementation experience, including significant hands-on experience with Epicor ERP or comparable manufacturing-focused ERP solutions.

Strong functional knowledge of multiple ERP business areas, preferably including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Projects, Service Management, and related enterprise processes.

Proven experience designing and implementing complex ERP solutions across multiple functional areas.

Experience leading solution design and architecture activities for end-to-end ERP implementation projects.

Robust understanding of ERP integrations, data migration, reporting, workflows, security, and interfaces with third-party applications.

Ability to understand complex customer business processes and translate them into practical ERP solution designs.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent customer-facing, communication, presentation, and collaboration abilities.

Ability to communicate complex functional and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to provide solution leadership across functional consultants, technical consultants, developers, integration teams, and customer stakeholders.

Experience with manufacturing and distribution industry processes is highly desirable.

Relevant current Epicor product and professional certifications are highly desirable.
