Designation: Engineer - IT Operations

Position description: Join Visteon's IT Operations team as an IT Operations Engineer, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of IT infrastructure supporting the automotive industry. This position demands a proactive approach to monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing IT systems to meet the dynamic needs of automotive manufacturing and business operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, manage incidents, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that align with Visteon's commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Monitor and analyze the performance of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and applications to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex IT incidents and service requests in a timely manner, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors as necessary.
- Implement and maintain IT operational procedures and documentation to support consistent and efficient service delivery.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and develop preventive measures to enhance system reliability.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to enforce security policies, perform vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents.
- Support the deployment and integration of current hardware and software solutions in alignment with automotive industry standards and Visteon's technology roadmap.




- Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning to accommodate evolving business requirements and technological advancements.
- Generate detailed reports on system performance, incident trends, and operational metrics to inform management decisions.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity in critical IT operations.
- Engage with manufacturing plant maintenance team to support the OT environment.

Educational qualifications preferred

- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT operations or systems administration within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Certifications such as ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of network protocols and server management.
- Experience with incident management and IT service management (ITSM) platforms.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to automotive industry IT environments.
