Role Overview

We are looking for an IT Operations professional with experience in the retail industry to manage IT infrastructure and end-user support across retail stores, warehouses, offices, and other business locations. The role requires a hands-on, proactive individual who can support store operations, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely resolution of technology-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide IT support for retail stores, warehouses, offices, and recent-location setups.

- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VPNs, and network policies.

- Monitor store connectivity, ISP links, network availability, and communication between stores and corporate systems.

- Support POS systems, billing terminals, payment devices, barcode scanners, handheld devices, and other retail technology, where applicable.

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot DVR/NVR systems, CCTV cameras, storage, remote access, and camera feeds.

- Configure and maintain network, USB, and multifunction printers used in stores, warehouses, and corporate offices.

- Install and troubleshoot scanners, scanning applications, drivers, and document workflows.

- Support laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices, POS peripherals, and other IT equipment.

- Coordinate IT activities for new store openings, relocations, expansions, refurbishments, and closures.

- Maintain accurate IT asset records covering procurement, tagging, allocation, movement between locations, warranty, repair, replacement, and disposal.

- Support MDM platforms, including device enrollment, application deployment, security configurations, compliance policies, and device restrictions.

- Ensure store and corporate devices comply with approved IT, information-security,



and endpoint-management policies.

- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for installations, repairs, AMC support, replacements, and service escalations.

- Prepare IT operations, asset, incident, store-support, and management reports

- Maintain documentation such as store IT checklists, network diagrams, asset registers, configuration records, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.

- Track recurring incidents and implement preventive measures to minimize disruption to store operations.

- Provide timely support during critical retail periods, store launches, sales events, and business escalations.

- Collaborate with Retail Operations, Facilities, Finance, Procurement, Security, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure business continuity.

Required Technical Skills

- 24 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, or retail technology support.

- Prior experience supporting retail stores, warehouses, POS environments, or multi-location operations.

- Practical experience with Cisco Meraki firewall and network administration.

- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs, routing, and network troubleshooting.

- Experience with POS systems, billing peripherals, barcode scanners, payment terminals, or retail applications will be an advantage.

- Hands-on experience with DVR/NVR and CCTV systems.

- Experience configuring printers, scanners, print servers,



and related drivers.

- Working knowledge of IT asset-management processes and tools.

- Awareness of MDM platforms, endpoint security, device compliance, and IT policies.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including filters, pivot tables, lookups, and operational reporting.

- Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with store teams, Project team, business users, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

- Ability to prioritize incidents based on business impact and urgency.

- Willingness to support multiple locations and work outside standard hours during critical deployments or escalations.

Education and Certifications

- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

- Certifications such as Cisco, Meraki, CompTIA, ITIL, Microsoft, or MDM certifications will be an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators

- Timely resolution of store and corporate IT incidents.

- Availability of store network, POS, CCTV, printer, and scanner systems.

- Successful and timely completion of store openings and technology rollouts.

- Accuracy and completeness of the IT asset register.

- Compliance with MDM, endpoint-security, and IT policies.

- Timely submission of operational and management reports.

- Reduction in recurring incidents and business disruption.

- Stakeholder and store-user satisfaction.
