Job Summary

- We are looking for an experienced IBM DataPower & API Connect Consultant with solid hands-on expertise in enterprise API management, integration, middleware, and API security.

- The ideal candidate should have practical experience with IBM DataPower Gateway and IBM API Connect, along with strong knowledge of API development, integration patterns, security policies, API lifecycle management, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, and implement enterprise API and integration solutions using IBM DataPower and IBM API Connect.

- Configure and manage IBM DataPower Gateway for API integration and application connectivity.

- Develop and manage REST and SOAP APIs using JSON and XML.

- Work with OpenAPI Specification, XML Schema, XPath, XSLT, and XQuery.

- Configure DataPower services including Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy, WAF, and Web XML Firewall.

- Implement API security including authentication, authorization, security definitions, and API policies.





- Manage the complete API lifecycle, including development, testing, publishing, deployment, and support.

- Work with IBM API Connect Cloud and DataPower environments.

- Configure and customize the API Connect Developer Portal.

- Work with external user registries and Developer Portal configurations.

- Develop and implement built-in and user-defined policies using GatewayScript where required.

- Support API deployments in standalone and clustered environments.

- Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of API and integration issues.

- Handle configuration backup, restoration, deployment, and environment-related activities.

- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and business teams.

- Contribute to integration architecture improvements and technical solution design.

- Prepare technical documentation and provide production support.
