Senior HR Executive – Hospital
Position: Senior HR Executive
Department: Human Resources
Reporting To: MANAGING DIRECTOR
Industry: Hospital / Healthcare
Experience: 3–6 years, preferably with hospital/healthcare experience
Location: Kelambakkam, Chennai-603103.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Manage recruitment for clinical and non-clinical positions including doctors, nurses, technicians, pharmacists, front office, billing, housekeeping and support staff.
- Coordinate interviews, selection, reference checks and joining formalities.
- Maintain manpower requirements and vacancy status department-wise.
- Coordinate with department heads for staffing requirements.
2. Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage joining, onboarding, induction, probation, confirmation, transfers, promotions and exit formalities.
- Maintain complete and updated employee personal files and HR records.
- Ensure timely issuance of offer letters, appointment letters, confirmation letters and other HR documents.
- Conduct exit interviews and coordinate full-and-final settlement.
3. Hospital HR Operations
- Monitor attendance, shift schedules, duty rosters, weekly offs, leave and permissions.
- Coordinate with department heads regarding absenteeism, manpower shortages and employee concerns.
- Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with hospital HR policies.
- Support smooth coordination between clinical, administrative and support departments.
4. Statutory Compliance
- Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Bonus,
Gratuity and other applicable statutory processes.
- Maintain statutory registers, records and employee documentation.
- Support inspections, audits and compliance requirements.
5. Payroll & Attendance
- Verify monthly attendance, leave, overtime, deductions and other payroll inputs.
- Coordinate with accounts for accurate and timely salary processing.
- Address employee salary and attendance-related queries.
6. Employee Engagement & Grievance Handling
- Handle employee grievances and resolve workplace issues professionally.
- Conduct employee engagement activities, meetings and welfare initiatives.
- Promote positive employee relations and effective communication.
7. Training & Development
- Coordinate employee induction and orientation programs.
- Maintain training records and training calendars.
- Coordinate mandatory hospital training such as BLS/CPR, Infection Control, Fire Safety, Biomedical Waste Management, POSH and other relevant programs.
- Support performance appraisal and employee development activities.
8. NABH / Quality & HR Documentation
- Maintain HR documentation and records required for NABH and other quality audits.
- Ensure staff credentialing, qualification and registration documents are properly maintained.
- Coordinate HR-related internal and external audits.
- Ensure HR policies and SOPs are implemented effectively.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of hospital HR operations.
- Good understanding of recruitment and employee lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Strong documentation and record-maintenance skills.
- Good MS Office/HRMS knowledge.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with doctors, nurses, department heads and support staff.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Educational Qualification
MBA/MSW/PGDM in Human Resources / HR Management preferred.
Graduation in any relevant discipline.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with prior experience in hospital/healthcare HR and exposure to NABH, statutory compliance, clinical manpower recruitment and hospital HR operations will be preferred.
