About the Role

Saraswati Group of Colleges is looking for an experienced and dedicated HOD – Radiology & Imaging Technology (RIT) to lead the academic and operational activities of the department. The ideal candidate should have strong academic knowledge, teaching experience, leadership skills, and practical exposure to Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Radiology & Imaging Technology (RIT) department.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor academic activities of the department.
- Ensure effective delivery of theoretical and practical classes.
- Develop and implement academic schedules, lesson plans and departmental activities.
- Supervise and mentor faculty members and monitor their performance.
- Guide students in academic, practical and career development.
- Coordinate clinical training, internships and practical exposure for students.
- Maintain coordination with hospitals, diagnostic centres and clinical partners.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of radiology and imaging laboratories and equipment.
- Conduct departmental meetings and maintain academic records and documentation.
- Support students in projects, research activities, seminars and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with institutional academic policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in admissions, counselling, workshops, seminars and institutional events when required.
- Identify opportunities to improve teaching methodologies, practical training and student outcomes.




- Prepare departmental reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Promote research, innovation and professional development within the department.

Educational Qualification
- Master's Degree in Radiology & Imaging Technology (RIT), Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology, or a relevant discipline from a recognized university/institution.
- Ph.D. in Radiology & Imaging Technology or a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Candidates with strong academic and clinical experience will be preferred.

Experience 5–7 years of relevant experience in:

- Radiology & Imaging Technology
- Medical Imaging Technology
- Teaching/Academics
- Clinical Training
- Departmental Administration
- Healthcare Education

Candidates with previous HOD, Coordinator, Senior Faculty or leadership experience will be preferred. Required Skills & Competencies
