Purpose/Objective To lead and manage all Electrical & Instrumentation activities across the coal mine, ensuring uninterrupted operation of mining equipment, compliance with DGMS and statutory regulations, reliability of electrical systems, and implementation of best maintenance practices to improve operational efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Responsibilities: a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Electrical Operations & Maintenance - Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of all mine electrical installations.

- Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Oversee operation and maintenance of substations, transformers, HT/LT panels, switchgears, cables, and distribution systems.
- Ensure availability and reliability of electrical power for mining operations. Instrumentation & Automation - Maintain and monitor instrumentation systems installed in CHP, conveyors, pumping stations, and workshops.

- Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper calibration and functioning of all instruments and monitoring systems. HEMM & Mining Equipment Support - Provide electrical support for HEMM including: - Excavators - Dumpers - Dozers - Graders - Drills - Water Sprinklers - Monitor equipment health and implement reliability improvement plans.

Statutory Compliance - Ensure compliance with DGMS, CEA, Electricity Act, Mines Act,



and other applicable regulations.

- Conduct safety inspections and electrical audits.
- Ensure proper maintenance of statutory records and documentation. Project Execution - Lead electrical infrastructure development projects.

- Plan and execute installation and commissioning of current electrical systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors for project execution. Energy Management - Monitor power consumption and identify energy-saving opportunities.

- Implement energy efficiency initiatives across mining and coal handling operations.
- Track key performance indicators related to electrical performance and costs. Team Management - Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, and technicians.

- Develop manpower capability through training and skill enhancement programs.
- Establish performance standards and monitor team productivity. Contractor Management - Manage electrical contractors and service providers.

- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Verify work completion, bills, and technical deliverables.
