House of Agam is a fashion brand built at the intersection of South Indian cultural identity, premium materials, and contemporary everyday wear - positioned in the white space of Quiet Luxury, New Indian Regionalism, and Conscious Premium. Our product architecture spans Karu, our permanent core collection of elevated basics, and Seasonal drops that retire each cycle.

The Role

We're looking for a Fashion Designer to work closely with the Founder / Creative Lead on product development - from research and concept development through fit and techpack - for a brand where knits and jersey are the core of the offer. Wovens knowledge is a big plus.

The designer will help translate the Creative Lead's vision into well-executed, production-ready garments across men's and women's fits, working closely with the factory, pattern master and merchandiser throughout development. This is a hands-on role for someone who can think creatively, execute independently, and bring strong technical and production knowledge to the process.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop products across core and seasonal lines from concept through final techpacks, under the Creative Lead's direction
- Conduct market and trend research across global fashion, category benchmarks, and premium D2C brands
- Bring relevant ideas and references to support design development
- Coordinate with the factory and pattern master through fit sessions, sample reviews, corrections, and pre-production




- Support sizing and fit accuracy across men's and women's categories
- Build and maintain production-accurate techpacks covering specs, construction, trims, grading, and artwork placement
- Manage assigned design and development timelines
- Contribute original design thinking while staying aligned with the brand's aesthetic and creative direction
- Bring a working understanding of wovens to support adjacent product development

What We're Looking For

- 2–5 years of experience as a fashion designer, with robust technical knowledge of knits and jersey construction, behavior, and finishing
- Working knowledge of wovens is a plus
- Strong understanding of garment sizing and fit across men's and women's categories
- Experience working directly with factories, production teams, and pattern masters
- Proficiency in building techpacks independently
- A genuine interest in global fashion and understanding of what is happening in the market
- Creative and proactive, with the ability to bring ideas and execute within an established creative direction
- Strong execution skills and attention to detail
- Based in or willing to relocate to Chennai
- Ability to understand and communicate in Tamil is a plus
