Position Title: Director of Operations

Location: Panaji, Goa

ROLE OVERVIEW The Director of Operations will serve as the strategic operations leader, overseeing end-to-end management and performance delivery of all portfolio hotels under BSG Hospitality's white label management mandate. This role sits at the operational heart of the company, ensuring consistency in service standards, financial performance, and owner satisfaction across all managed properties.

You will be accountable for translating BSG's operating philosophy and commercial commitments into daily reality; leading multi-departmental teams; ensuring compliance with all mandated standards; monitoring KPIs; and championing continuous improvement across all portfolio hotels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Portfolio Operations Leadership

- Manage end-to-end operations across all portfolio hotels; ensure alignment with white label agreements and owner expectations
- Oversee in office general managers and department heads; provide mentorship, strategic direction, and performance accountability
- Drive operational consistency across rooms, F&B;, housekeeping, maintenance, security, HR, and commercial functions
- Conduct regular property audits and compliance checks; ensure adherence to health, safety, NBC and security standards

Financial & Commercial Performance

- Monitor and improve RevPAR,



occupancy, GOP, and all key financial KPIs across the portfolio
- Partner with commercial and revenue teams on pricing strategy, demand forecasting, and market positioning
- Ensure profitability targets are met and cost controls are maintained without compromising guest experience
- Manage capital expenditure budgets; prioritize maintenance and renovation needs across all properties

Pre-Opening & New Property Integration

- Lead pre-opening phases for newly signed mandates; develop detailed operational roadmaps and launch plans
- Coordinate with design, construction, and technical teams to ensure hotels open on schedule and within operational standards
- Build and train operational teams; embed culture and operating procedures before soft opening

Human Capital & Organizational Excellence

- Own recruitment and retention strategy for key operational positions across portfolio
- Design and deliver ongoing training and development programs for all operational staff
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement

Guest Experience & Quality Assurance

- Maintain high standards of guest experience and service quality across all properties
- Monitor OTA ratings, guest reviews, and feedback; drive improvement initiatives based on insights
- Implement SOP framework and standard operating procedures across all managed hotels

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

- Serve as primary interface with hotel owners; provide regular operational updates, financial reporting, and strategic insights
- Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly operational reports for senior management
- Handle owner escalations and operational challenges with professionalism and swift resolution

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Minimum 15 years of progressive hospitality experience, including multi-property and multi-departmental management





- Proven experience in managing multiple hotels simultaneously; ideally independent or white label operations
- Deep expertise across all hotel departments; rooms, F&B;, housekeeping, maintenance, security, and HR
- Strong financial acumen; experience with budgeting, P&L; management, and revenue optimization
- Experience leading and mentoring senior teams (General Managers, Department Heads) across properties
- Track record of improving operational metrics; RevPAR, occupancy, GOP, OTEL, and guest satisfaction scores
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational consistency and implement systems across multiple locations
- Comfortable working in tier 2, tier 3, and non-metropolitan markets
- Willing to travel frequently across portfolio properties

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with hotel pre-opening operations and new property launch

- Background with independent or regional hotel chains; comfort with flexible brand models
- Familiarity with hotel technology systems (PMS, CRM, revenue management tools)
- Experience in boutique, luxury, or unique stay concepts
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to engage with ownership and external stakeholders

LOCATION & TRAVEL Base Location: Panaji, Goa (BSG Hospitality Office; 91Springboard Business Hub)

This role requires substantial travel across BSG's portfolio of managed hotels across India. The Director will spend approximately 60-70% of time in the field (at managed properties), with the remaining time at the Goa head office for strategic planning, reporting, and team engagement.
