Role & responsibilities

1. Lead end-to-end income-tax compliance, including tax computations, return filings, tax audits and related statutory requirements.
2. Manage tax assessments, notices, appeals and litigations, including coordination with tax authorities and external advisors.
3. Provide timely direct tax advice on business transactions, contracts, restructuring, investments and other strategic initiatives.
4. Identify and implement legally compliant tax planning and optimization opportunities aligned with the organizations business objectives.
5. Oversee withholding tax compliance, applicability, deductions, filings, reconciliations and resolution of related issues.
6. Review current/deferred tax provisions, effective tax rate, tax reconciliations and tax-related financial reporting.
7. Identify and monitor tax risks, exposures and uncertain tax positions and implement appropriate controls and mitigation measures.
8. Manage relationships with tax authorities, auditors, consultants and legal advisors and ensure effective handling of tax matters.
9. Strengthen tax processes, controls,



documentation, MIS and leverage technology/automation to improve efficiency and compliance.
10. Provide regular updates to the Tax Head on tax compliance, litigation, exposures, opportunities and key tax developments.
11. Lead transfer pricing compliance with consultants, review of transfer pricing documentation, benchmarking analyses, inter-company agreements, compliance filings and management of transfer pricing audits/assessments.
12. Provide international tax advisory on cross-border transactions, investments, payments, business restructuring and group arrangements, including analysis of withholding tax, treaty provisions, permanent establishment, transfer pricing and other applicable tax implications.
13. Manage cross-border tax risks and disputes, including transfer pricing adjustments, international tax assessments and coordination with external advisors to ensure appropriate documentation, compliance and risk mitigation.
