Porto Health Care Services (PHCS) is a newly established specialist mental health clinic in Doha, Qatar, and a proud member of the Porto Holding Group. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered mental healthcare through a multidisciplinary team of highly qualified professionals.

As we prepare to commence our clinical operations, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team and contribute to the development of a center of excellence in mental healthcare.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

- Hold a valid Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), Qatar license as a Consultant Psychiatrist; or
- Hold a DHP/MOPH Evaluation Report confirming eligibility for registration as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the State of Qatar; or
- Should have to have three years of experience post MD - Psychiatry and should be ready to do all the documentation on his/her own to be able to acquire the MOPH license.

Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, as applicable.

Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of psychiatric and psychological disorders using evidence-based clinical practice.

Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions where appropriate.





Provide clinical leadership and collaborate closely with Clinical Psychologists and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Supervise and support mental health professionals in maintaining high standards of clinical practice.

Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with MOPH regulations and professional standards.

Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical governance activities.

Promote patient safety, confidentiality, ethical practice, and excellence in patient care.

Contribute to community mental health awareness initiatives, professional education, and organizational development when required.

Qualifications & Skills

Medical Degree with specialization in Psychiatry + 3 Years of experience after MD.

Board Certification or equivalent qualification recognized by the DHP/MOPH.

Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.

Commitment to ethical, patient-centered, and evidence-based psychiatric practice.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary mental health team.
