We are looking for an experienced US Accountant / Finance Operations skilled based in India to manage accounting, US tax coordination, payments, collections, and day-to-day financial operations for our US-based businesses.This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable owning the finance function rather than only doing bookkeeping.ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for US entitiesMaintain accurate P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow, and general ledger recordsSupport and coordinate US federal and state tax filings, including working with external CPAs when neededManage accounts payable and accounts receivableOwn collections and follow-up on outstanding invoicesReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, payment processors, and financial platformsHandle Stripe disputes, chargebacks, evidence submissions, and dispute trackingMonitor incoming payments and investigate failed, delayed, or unmatched transactionsManage vendor payments, employee expenses, reimbursements, and corporate cardsAssist with month-end and year-end closeMaintain supporting documentation for transactions and financial recordsPrepare financial reports and management dashboardsHelp improve accounting controls, reconciliation processes, and finance workflowsCoordinate with leadership, CPAs, vendors, customers, banks,



and payment processors as neededRequirementsBased in India3+ years of accounting or finance operations experienceStrong experience handling accounting for US-based companiesWorking knowledge of US accounting and tax requirementsExperience with US tax preparation or directly supporting US CPA/tax filingsStrong understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP, AR, and financial reportingExperience with several of the following platforms is strongly preferred:Rho, Mercury, Brex, Ramp, Zoho, Zen Payments, StripeExperience handling Stripe disputes and chargebacksExperience with collections / accounts receivable follow-upStrong Excel / Google Sheets skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to independently investigate discrepanciesComfortable working with US-based teams and overlapping with US business hours when requiredExcellent written and spoken EnglishNice to HaveCA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or similar accounting qualificationExperience working with startups or fast-growing US companiesExperience managing multiple US entitiesExperience with QuickBooks Online or Zoho BooksExperience with payroll, 1099s, W-2 coordination, sales tax, and state filingsExperience improving or automating finance workflowsWhat We’re Looking ForWe want someone who is proactive and operational. You should be comfortable noticing that an invoice is overdue, a Stripe dispute needs a response, a transaction does not reconcile, or a tax deadline is coming up — and taking ownership of getting it resolved.This is a high-ownership role with significant responsibility across the company's accounting and finance operations.
