About the RoleWe are looking for a Tech Lead to drive the design, development, and scalability of our core backend systems. You will lead a team of backend engineers working primarily in Java-based microservices while closely collaborating with frontend teams (React JS / React Native), Product, and DevOps.This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for architecture decisions, code quality, delivery excellence, and mentoring engineers while building highly scalable, reliable, and performant systems.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical LeadershipOwn backend architecture and design for scalable, distributed systems. Lead the development of microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs. Drive best practices in system design, coding standards, testing, and code reviews.Make critical decisions on data modeling, API contracts, and service boundaries. Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems. Hands-on DevelopmentActively contribute to code, especially for complex modules and critical systems. Debug production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes. Optimize system performance, database queries, and service interactions. Team Leadership & MentorshipMentor and guide backend engineers in technical and career growth. Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions. Build a strong engineering culture focused on quality and ownership. Delivery & ExecutionCollaborate with Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Drive sprint planning, estimation, and timely delivery of features. Ensure high engineering velocity without compromising on quality. Platform & DevOps CollaborationWork closely with DevOps to build robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies. Ensure observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting.



Drive initiatives around system reliability, uptime, and resilience. Cross-functional CollaborationPartner with frontend teams (React JS / React Native) to ensure seamless API integration. Collaborate with QA for test strategies and automation. Communicate effectively with stakeholders on technical decisions and trade-offs. Required Skills & Qualifications4-6 years of backend engineering experience with strong expertise in Java. Proven experience in building and scaling microservices architectures. Strong hands-on experience with: Java, Spring Boot REST API design SQL/NoSQL databases Distributed systems and system design Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong understanding of performance optimization, caching, and asynchronous processing. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Good to HaveExperience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.). Exposure to high-scale consumer or SaaS products. Familiarity with observability tools (e.G., logs, metrics, tracing systems). Experience with AI-assisted development tools or agent-based workflows.
