Educational Qualification Bachelors

Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or Production Engineering.

Certifications International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification preferred.

EN Certified NDT Level II in: o Visual Testing (VT) o Penetrant Testing (PT) Preferred Industry Background Rail manufacturing, rolling stock, or rail car body manufacturing. Candidates with hands-on experience in rail car body inspection will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities Perform Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) of complete rail car bodies to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. Conduct comprehensive visual inspection of car body structures, welds, and assembled components. Inspect welding quality as per approved welding procedures, drawings, and applicable standards.

Verify weld integrity using Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) techniques. Inspect and validate joint sealing, sealing quality, and finishing to ensure water- tightness and aesthetic requirements. Carry out full car body inspections covering dimensional, cosmetic, structural, and functional quality aspects.

Identify, document, and report quality defects, deviations, and non-conformities. Coordinate with production, welding, and engineering teams for defect rectification and closure. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality procedures, and relevant international standards.

Maintain inspection records, reports, and quality documentation. Support customer inspections, audits, and final acceptance activities.
