Role Summary
The Sr. Boomi Developer is a hands-on technical lead responsible for the design and delivery of complex Boomi integrations during the wM to Boomi migration. This role translates the architect's blueprint into working Boomi processes, leads a pod of developers, and is accountable for the quality, performance, and on-time delivery of assigned interfaces. The Sr. Developer also owns the most complex conversions, including BPM, Trading Networks, and high-volume real-time integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the detailed design and development of complex Boomi processes, sub-processes, and shared components migrated from webMethods.
Convert advanced wM artifacts (Flow services, Java services, pub/sub via UM/Broker, adapters, BPM processes, TN partner profiles and EDI maps) into equivalent Boomi processes, connectors, AS2/EDI configurations, and Boomi Flow/MDH where applicable.
Build and maintain reusable Boomi components, custom scripts (Groovy/JavaScript), connector configurations, and shared libraries to accelerate delivery.
Own data transformation logic: complex maps, profiles (XML, JSON, EDI, flat file, database),



cross-references, and lookups, ensuring functional parity with existing wM mappings.
Implement robust error handling, retry, replay, alerting, and logging patterns aligned with the architecture standards.
Lead code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor Boomi Developers and Integration Analysts on the pod.
Collaborate with the Solution Architect on design decisions, raise risks early, and propose technical solutions for complex migration scenarios.
Drive unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and defect resolution for assigned interfaces; support SIT, UAT, and cutover activities.
Configure and manage Boomi settings, atoms/molecules, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines; support release management activities.
Provide hypercare and production support for migrated interfaces, including root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and stabilization.
Contribute to migration accelerators, conversion utilities, and knowledge artifacts for the HTC Digital practice.
