Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced PHP and WordPress Developer with strong hands-on experience in WordPress development, PHP, custom plugin/theme development, REST APIs, database management, and website performance optimization.

The ideal candidate should be capable of developing and maintaining customized WordPress solutions, integrating third-party APIs, troubleshooting performance and security issues, and working with up-to-date PHP frameworks such as Laravel.

Experience with WooCommerce, membership platforms, LMS, WordPress multisite, AWS, Git, CI/CD, and Laravel will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and web applications using PHP.

Build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.

Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins based on business requirements.

Develop and extend WordPress functionality using actions, filters, hooks, shortcodes, custom post types, and taxonomies.

Work with the WordPress REST API to build and consume APIs.

Integrate WordPress with third-party systems and external APIs.

Develop and maintain WooCommerce functionality, customizations, and integrations.

Work on membership websites, LMS platforms, and WordPress multisite environments when required.

Develop secure and scalable backend functionality using PHP and MySQL.

Optimize WordPress websites for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Diagnose and resolve slow-loading websites, database issues, plugin conflicts,



PHP errors, and server-side issues.

Identify and resolve WordPress security vulnerabilities and handle compromised websites when required.

Implement secure coding practices and protect sensitive credentials, API keys, and user data.

Work with caching, CDN, database optimization, image optimization, and other website performance techniques.

Manage code using Git/GitHub and follow proper branching and code review practices.

Support deployment and maintenance using Linux, Apache/Nginx, AWS, and CI/CD environments.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.

Collaborate with designers, frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.

Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
