Experience: 2–3 Years | Electrical / Power Quality Industry
Are you an Electrical Engineer who enjoys troubleshooting, visiting industrial customers and finding practical solutions to electrical problems?
We are looking for an Electrical Service & Application Engineer – APFC & Power Quality to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience with APFC panels and Power Factor Correction and wants to grow beyond routine service into application engineering, customer interaction and solution development.
What You Will Do
Service, troubleshoot and commission APFC panels at customer sites
Diagnose problems related to low/unstable power factor, capacitors, contactors, APFC relays and harmonics
Inspect existing APFC installations and identify retrofit, replacement and capacity-enhancement prospects
Study customer load conditions and recommend appropriate PFC solutions
Identify applications requiring Detuned APFC, SVG or other power-quality solutions
Carry out basic power-quality measurements and interpret electrical parameters
Interact directly with plant electrical/maintenance teams and understand their requirements
Prepare technical recommendations and support quotations/proposals
Follow up on opportunities identified during service visits
Work closely with our sales, design and application teams to develop the right solution for the customer.
Experience: 2–3 years in APFC panels, power factor correction, electrical panels or power-quality systems.
You should have a valuable understanding of:
Power Factor, kW, kVA and kVAr
APFC relays and capacitor switching
Capacitors, contactors and detuned reactors
Harmonics and their effect on capacitor banks
Electrical measurements and troubleshooting
Industrial electrical distribution systems
Reading electrical SLDs and control wiring diagrams
