Role Overview: Repro is seeking a hands-on Software D2C Tech Lead who will help to shape up the D2C brand of Repro named Bookscape. The candidate should have a positive experience in building the D2C product. The candidate will own and scale our direct-to-consumer digital ecosystem.

This role will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining high-performing eCommerce platforms, ensuring seamless customer journeys, and driving innovation across digital touchpoints. The candidate will spend approximately 60% of time in active coding and system design and 40% in technical leadership and team management. This role requires deep engineering capabilities combined with the ability to mentor teams and drive scalable, production-grade architecture.

You will work closely with business, product, marketing, and operations teams to deliver scalable, data-driven, and customer centric technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities Platform Ownership & Development - Lead the architecture, development, and optimization of D2C platforms custom stack - Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of the eCommerce ecosystem - Manage integrations with payment gateways, logistics, CRM, ERP, and marketing tools.

Experience & Conversion - Optimize website/app performance, UX, and conversion funnels - Implement personalization,



recommendation engines, and A/B testing frameworks - Ensure mobile-first and omnichannel experiences. Tech Strategy & Innovation - Define and execute the D2C technology roadmap aligned with business goals - Evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and technologies - Drive automation across operations (order management, inventory sync, etc.) Data & Analytics - Leverage analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel, etc.) for insights and decision-making - Build dashboards for business KPIs like CAC, LTV, conversion rates - Enable data-driven experimentation and growth Team Leadership - Lead and mentor a team of developers, QA, and tech specialists - Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations teams - Manage external vendors, agencies, and tech partners Required Skills &

Qualifications - Strong experience with D2C/eCommerce platforms (Shopify preferred) - Proficiency in frontend (React, HTML, CSS, JS) and backend technologies - Experience with APIs, microservices, and third-party integrations - Knowledge of payment systems, checkout optimization, and security standards - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - Strong understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and web vitals.
