Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in market research, fundamental analysis, or a similar analyst role, with direct exposure to commodity markets spanning at least two of: power/energy,
agricultural commodities, or metals.
- Solid understanding of the supply-demand fundamentals and pricing drivers of commodity markets.
- Working knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting; basic Python or SQL is a plus but not required.
- Solid understanding of derivatives (futures, options) as they relate to commodity price risk.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear market views.
Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to agricultural commodity fundamentals (crop reports, seasonality modeling, weather-driven demand).
- Exposure to metals market dynamics (industrial demand cycles, inventory data, macro correlation).
- NISM certifications (Equity Derivatives, Commodity Derivatives).
- Experience building market dashboards or reports (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools).
Needful Qualities
- Strong analytical curiosity; able to independently investigate market developments and form well-reasoned views.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented; able to manage multiple research streams and reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
