nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

nTo lead the development of all aspects of research in Electrical P ower Systems Engineering

nspecifically in the space of software defined power ie mana ging stranded power in a DC.

nCollaborate with Design and Engineering (D&E;) core teams to develop, implement, and manage

nthe DC electrical designs for current development,



infrastructure upgrades and rectifications. Specific

nactions is to look at incorporating the latest technologies with an outcome to reduce costs and

nbring in specific cost savings.

nParticipate in new technology insertions through collaboration with the core engineering team to

nprovide site specific requirements during the development of BOD ( even for site specific stuff)

nQuarterly review of technologies and commercials for key aspects

nModelling, simulation and data management. Experience with simulation and modelling software

n(e.g., MATLAB, COSMOL)

nQUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

nHave a Master’s or PhD’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

nfrom a recognized University. Major in Power Engineering will be

nadvantageous.

nExperience in design, construction, and commissioning of medium/Low

nvoltage /High Voltage electrical distribution systems, AC/DC systems, and

nassociated power management/SCADA tools.

nPrior knowledge on power system condition monitoring.
