Role Description This 15-day Data Science & Time Series Analysis Internship (starting 18 SEP) is a remote role focused on applying data science techniques to financial time series. Interns will work with real or simulated market data to clean, explore, and visualize time series, and to implement forecasting models and backtesting workflows under guidance from the team. Daily tasks may include writing Python or similar code, running experiments, documenting findings, preparing summary reports, and presenting insights to mentors.

The internship is designed to provide hands-on experience with quantitative methods, model evaluation, and best practices in reproducible research within a financial technology context.

Qualifications





- Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics, including probability, linear algebra, and time series concepts relevant to financial data.
- Experience with data science tools and programming (e.g., Python, R, Jupyter, NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, or similar libraries).
- Ability to work with datasets: data cleaning, transformation, visualization, and basic exploratory data analysis.
- Familiarity with machine learning or quantitative modeling, ideally including regression, classification, or forecasting techniques.
- Interest in financial markets, portfolio strategies, or quantitative finance; prior exposure to backtesting or trading simulations is a plus.
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document methods, results, and limitations concisely.
- Self-directed, organized, and comfortable working remotely within defined deadlines and milestones.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline).
