We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team and take responsibility for key accounting, financial reporting, audit and compliance activities within the shipping and maritime industry.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting, hands-on experience in preparation of financial statements and reconciliations, and the ability to independently handle accounting matters and effectively coordinate with auditors and other stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Reporting

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Perform ledger scrutiny and review accounting entries for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in monthly and annual closing activities.
- Prepare financial statements, schedules and supporting working papers.
- Analyse accounting issues and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.

Reconciliations & Financial Controls

- Perform bank, customer, vendor and inter-company reconciliations.
- Investigate reconciliation differences and ensure appropriate follow-up and closure.
- Maintain proper supporting documentation and accounting records.
- Identify process gaps and suggest improvements in accounting and reporting processes.

Audit & Tax Compliance

- Coordinate with statutory,



tax and internal auditors and independently provide the required information and supporting documents.
- Assist in Tax Audit and Statutory Audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and supporting workings.
- Support GST, TDS and other applicable statutory compliance activities.
- Ensure timely completion of audit and compliance requirements.

Management Support & Decision-Making

- Prepare financial information and MIS for management review.
- Analyse financial data and provide meaningful inputs to management.
- Demonstrate sound judgement in identifying accounting issues and determining appropriate actions.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and ensure timely completion without continuous supervision.

Candidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who demonstrates technical competence, ownership and professional judgement, rather than merely performing routine accounting activities.

The candidate should have

- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CA or equivalent qualification.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Prior experience in the shipping / maritime industry will be strongly preferred.




- Good understanding of financial statement preparation and accounting principles.
- Practical exposure to Tax Audit and Statutory Audit.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with auditors, management and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, identify issues proactively and take appropriate decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and timelines.
