Job Summary

The Purchase Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement of agro-commodity products. This role ensures reliable sourcing, cost efficiency, stock availability, and effective warehouse replenishment to support retail and wholesale distribution.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, forecast, and execute procurement strategies mainly focused on commodity products like Rice, Spices, Pulses, Sugar.:
Maintain relationships and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Identify prospects for cost reduction while maintaining product quality.
Source products locally and internationally (if required) at competitive pricing.
Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks to maintain competitive product pricing.
Control purchasing budgets and improve cost efficiency




Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Prepare procurement reports and performance analysis.

Procurement & Sourcing
Inventory & Stock Management
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team to avoid overstocking or stock outs.
Collaborate with the store operations team to align purchase volumes with sales trends.
Oversee order cycles and delivery schedules.

Quality Assurance
Ensure purchased goods meet the stores quality standards.
Work closely with the quality control team for inspection and complaint resolution.

Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, supplier performance, and inventory turnover.
Prepare regular procurement and stock reports for management review.
Aware and should possess hands on experience in handling import/Export documentations.
