We are seeking experienced Care Partners to join our Casual Bureau at Selwyn Village, providing cover across our care homes as required. This is a genuine casual role with shifts offered based on operational demand.

This role is ideal if you:
Are specifically seeking casual work (no guaranteed hours)
Are adaptable and available for short-notice shifts
Can work a mix of days, evenings and weekends
Do not hold another full time position

About the role

As a Casual Care Partner, you'll support residents to live well, safely and with dignity, in line with The Selwyn Way. You'll step into established teams to provide consistent, person-centred care.

Your duties may include:
Personal care and daily living support
Medication assistance (where competent)
Supporting resident activities and routines
Meal preparation and light housekeeping
Accurate documentation and handovers

What we're looking for




A minimum of two years' experience in aged care - rest home, hospital, or dementia care
Eligibility to work in NZ permanently
Level 3 or higher NZ Health and Wellbeing qualification
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Confidence using basic IT systems for resident notes
A calm, reliable and flexible approach
Physical capability for hands-on care duties
Professional, compassionate, and resident-focused

What we offer
Casual hourly rate between $28.63 and $31.08:
