Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with both UK GAAP/IFRS and US GAAP.
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting, to support business decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
General Ledger Management:
Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, complete, and properly reconciled.
Perform complex account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts.
Manage fixed assets, including depreciation calculations and asset register maintenance.
Compliance & Taxation (UK/US Specific):
Ensure compliance with relevant UK and US accounting standards, tax regulations (e.g., VAT, Corporation Tax for UK; Federal/State income tax, sales tax for US), and statutory reporting requirements.




Assist in the preparation of tax computations and filings for both UK and US entities.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight:
Supervise and review accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Manage vendor and client relationships from an accounting perspective, resolving discrepancies as needed.
Process Improvement & System Utilization:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) effectively for all accounting functions.
Assist in the implementation and optimization of recent accounting systems or modules.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., operations, sales) and external clients.
