Context of the role
The Treasury team is responsible for all aspects of International Cash & Liquidity Management, Cashflow forecasting, Working Capital management and Foreign Exchange. The Treasury department is a friendly team-based workplace that values interaction and exchange of ideas and knowledge.
The FX Officer role is a remote role to be based in India, reporting to the FX Manager in Nairobi, and working closely with the rest of the team in Singapore, Beijing, Barcelona, Athens, Nairobi and Ecuador.

Position, purpose & key responsibilities
FX Execution Trading
Manage FX execution flow for key South Asian and select African markets, focused primarily on India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Monitor local market conditions and competitor pricing to assure Thunes remains competitive while controlling FX exposures.
Assist the Operations team with the daily forecast for key corridors, focusing on India.
Daily reconciliation of trades executed to ensure completeness on both buy and sell side.
FX Technology and Systems
Work with the Treasury Product Owner and Development Teams to maintain the end-to-end flow of the FX trading process.
Provide suggestions to enhance the FX systems, monitoring and procedures required to make FX operations more scalable and to assure an excellent user experience for partners as well as the various Thunes teams.
FX and Banking Partnerships
Assess FX market conditions and rate regimes and controls in countries where Thunes operates.
Identify and help onboard current banks and FX partners to help improve both FX costs and flow of funds where feasible.
Experience & technical skills required
Solid interest in FX global financial markets with knowledge of market fundamentals and market analysis.
Experience with FX systems, reporting and FX performance analysis
