Job Summary
The Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Commerce & Accountancy will be responsible for providing solid subject expertise in Commerce and Accountancy and supporting the development, review, and enhancement of curriculum and academic content.
The role will focus particularly on Accountancy, along with Commerce-related subjects, and will involve curriculum planning, content development, assessment design, academic quality assurance, and providing subject-specific support to teachers. The SME will ensure that all learning resources are accurate, curriculum-aligned, age-appropriate, and designed to develop students' conceptual understanding and application skills.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and enhance curriculum content for Commerce and Accountancy in alignment with the school's academic framework.
Take primary responsibility for Accountancy content,



ensuring robust conceptual accuracy and appropriate progression of topics.
Develop lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, study materials, case studies, activities, assignments, and other academic resources.
Create engaging and application-oriented learning resources that encourage analytical and financial thinking.
Develop and review content covering areas such as:
Basic Accounting Principles and Concepts
Journal, Ledger and Trial Balance
Depreciation and Adjustments
Financial Statements
Partnership Accounts
Company Accounts
Cash Flow Statements
Accounting Ratios
Financial Analysis
Business Studies and Commerce concepts
Economics-related concepts, where applicable
Develop differentiated learning resources according to students' learning levels and abilities.
Design formative and summative assessments, question papers, question banks, assignments, projects, and competency-based quest
