Mosaic Division Head – Custom Stone & Surface Solution · Mumbai · Reports to DGM Operations
The mandate
Our client, a large, listed Indian building materials company with a multi-decade brand, national retail footprint and manufacturing in Gujarat and Maharashtra, runs a distinct mosaic and custom-surface division alongside its core tile business — CNC-cut, waterjet, engraved, inlaid and press porcelain/glass mosaic work for architects, luxury developers and premium interior projects. This division currently sits inside a larger operations function. The Company is now looking for a Division Head to take direct, standalone ownership of it: build it into a P&L-accountable; business in its own right, develop the specification relationships that drive high-value custom and mosaic work, and scale the production capability behind it. The mandate is limited to this mosaic/customization division — it does not extend to the Company's core tile, marble or granite retail business.
What you will own




Build and run the mosaic and custom-surface division as a distinct P&L; within the Company — own revenue, margin and targets for this division specifically, and report on them independently of the broader operations function and the core tile business.
Develop the architect, interior designer, PMC and luxury/hospitality specification channel as the primary growth engine for mosaic and custom stone work.
Lead technical consultation on CNC machining, waterjet cutting, engraving, inlay work, edge profiling and press porcelain/glass mosaic finishes, working directly with clients on complex, non-standard briefs.
Scale production capability and throughput for mosaic and custom orders — reduce turnaround time, cut production and installation errors, and increase the volume of customized projects executed successfully.
Coordinate design and production teams to ensure custom and mosaic orders are executed to specification, on shop drawings, from brief through installation.
