About the opportunity We are hiring a Director – Accounting for a PE-backed, high-growth global technology company with operations across the US, EU and India. The role is based in Gurugram and reports directly into the Global CFO. This is a senior, hands-on finance leadership role for a technically strong accounting qualified who can own global financial reporting, drive multi-entity controllership, and operate effectively in a fast-scaling, M&A-active; environment.Key responsibilitiesFinancial reporting & controllershipOwn the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAPLead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across all entities and geographiesServe as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing the annual audit cycle end-to-endDesign, implement, and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and proceduresSystems & processOwn and optimise NetSuite as the core ERP — including chart of accounts design, workflow automation, and reporting configurationLead rollout of new or restructured Chart of Accounts across entities as the business scalesDocument and standardise GAAP accounting policies, process runbooks, and controls matrixEstablish and enforce a disciplined month-end close calendar across the finance teamPE & investor reportingPartner closely with PE sponsors on reporting cadences,



board packages, covenant compliance, and portfolio-level financial reportingSupport due diligence, quality-of-earnings processes, and investor reporting deliverablesM&A; & integrationLead accounting workstreams for M&A; transactions — due diligence, purchase accounting, opening balance sheet preparation, and post-close integrationGlobal operationsOversee accounting operations across multiple regions — US, EU, APAC, and IndiaNavigate multi-currency consolidation, transfer pricing considerations, and cross-border reporting requirementsManage relationships with regional finance teams, local advisors, and statutory auditors across jurisdictionsIdeal candidateChartered Accountant (CA) or CPA mandatory12+ years of progressive accounting experience including significant time in a Controller, VP, or Director-level roleDeep technical expertise in US GAAP — hands-on experience preparing and reviewing GAAP-compliant financial statementsProven experience with NetSuite — implementation, administration, and advanced use as primary ERPPrior experience in a PE-backed company with exposure to sponsor reporting, board-level reporting, and PE-driven reporting cadencesDemonstrated M&A; experience — due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-acquisition integrationBased in or open to relocating to Gurugram
