This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for the full scope of school athletics — from coaching staff and facilities to tournaments, budgets, and ensuring every student has a genuine opportunity to compete and grow through sport.You'll work closely with school leadership, coaches, and faculty to build an athletics program that reflects the same standard of excellence as our academic programs.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram LeadershipOversee all sports programs and activities across the K-12 school, with sports development as the central prioritySet the strategic direction and standards for the athletics department, focused on giving every student a genuine path to explore, develop, and excel in sportStudent Access & OpportunityEnsure students at all levels have opportunities to participate in and compete across a range of sportsChampion an inclusive athletics culture that supports both competitive and recreational participationTalent PathwaysIdentify and support higher-performing student-athletes with pathways to district, state, national, or other representative-level competitionCoordinate with external clubs, academies,



or federations where relevant to student developmentPE Curriculum AlignmentCoordinate with academic PE teachers and faculty to align co-curricular sports programming with classroom physical educationEnsure a consistent progression of physical development and skills from PE through competitive athleticsTournament & Competition LogisticsPlan and coordinate logistics for inter-school, regional, and other sports tournaments and eventsManage scheduling, transportation, travel, permissions, and on-the-day operations, including away fixtures and overnight tripsFacility ManagementManage and maintain school sports facilities, ensuring they are safe, well-equipped, and available for training and competitionBudget OversightManage the athletics budget, including equipment purchases, program funding, and resource allocationEvaluate vendors and negotiate costs for equipment, kits, and facility needsParent & Community CommunicationsServe as the primary point of contact for parents on schedules, results, and sports-related policiesBuild relationships with the wider school community and represent HSI athletics at school and inter-school eventsPerformance ReportingReport on participation rates, competition results, and budget spend to school leadershipTrack program outcomes and use data to inform planning and resource allocationStaffing & PersonnelDrive the hiring process for coaches and sports-related staff, partnering with school leadership on final hiring decisionsOnboard, manage, and support the performance of coaching and sports support staffWhat We're Looking ForMinimum 5 years of experience in athletics administration, sports management, or a similar leadership role, ideally within a school or educational settingProven experience hiring, managing, and developing coaching or sports staffStrong track record in budget management and resource planningExperience organizing tournaments, fixtures, or large-scale sporting eventsExcellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skillsA genuine passion for youth sports development and student wellbeingBachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field (Master's preferred)Prior experience in a K-12 or international school environment (IB/IGCSE familiarity) is a plusDetailsEmployment Type: Full-timeWork Setting: In-person, MumbaiReports to: ManagementTo apply, please send your resume and cover letter to
